"Better than a remote control!" TV Links is a brilliant site where you can watch your favourite TV shows and movies uploaded to YouTube-like video servers without having to search.

The Angry Video Game Nerd
Hilarious and furious foul-mouthed video reviews of some of the crappier titles from the golden age of gaming. "He's gonna take you back to the past, to play the shitty games that suck ass".

WiiViews
A YouTube channel featuring improvised Wii game "tours" by your average Joe for your average Joe. No harsh critique here, but Chris and Derek together are funny as hell.

1up
A decent videogame news coverage site which doesn't force you to become a paid member to get information, and allows you to sign up to a huge number of RSS feeds to get the information on the consoles you own only.

OverClocked ReMix
Only on the internet will you find a community dedicated to high quality remixes of music from videogames. Check it out, though, hear some cool remixed versions of those themes you remember from playing games.

SoundClick
A good amateur/unsigned musicians website and a decent alternative to the almighty MySpace.

CD Baby
The best place to look for CDs by amateur/unsigned bands.

OverClocked ReMix

Manga UK
The official site of the legendary Manga UK, who (excluding Robotech) started this whole Japanese animation malarky.

AnimeOnDVD
A great site which reviews the DVD releases of manga films/anime in all regions.

HK Cinema Club
The best place to go if you want to grab a Hong Kong made Region Free DVD of that manga VHS you own that never got a Region 2 DVD release (The Guyver!). Most of the discs contain both English and Japanese audio, but check before you order.

Anime Remix
Similar to OverClocked ReMix, but this time it's themes from anime and cartoons.

I-Mockery
"Mocking pop culture and whatever else we can get our grubby hands on". A humorous, somewhat nerdier take on pop culture, particularly of the retro variety, I-Mockery was another of the sites which inspired me to make HooplaNet.

RetroCRUSH
Another slightly 'retro' pop culture site which helped to inspire HooplaNet. Great for lovers of the 80s (and earlier).

Head Injury Theater
A fantastic pop culture page which I highly reccomend. One of the most well crafted pages I've ever seen - the typography and web design itself is nothing special but the site is made up out of brilliant hand painted images and cartoons. Proof that the internet needn't be the end of traditional art.
