"Nobody loves me... Everybody likes the younger guy!"
I felt another rant was in order after the somewhat recent reveal that a Fantastic 4 reboot may be in the works because, while it was popular, some comic book nerds thought it wasn't serious enough (You can never be too serious when it's about people who are made of rock or can stretch, go invisible or catch on fire! Damn radioactive asteroids).
Now I'm not somebody who is opposed to remakes/reimaginings - a new take on a great story can be amazing, just look at The Dark Knight, Halloween or Dawn of the Dead. No, the problem here is movies like The Incredible Hulk - reboots of stuff which barely recently got a DVD release, because it didn't please Siskel and Ebert, or some comic book nerds thought it wasn't good enough.
Sony's press conference unfortunately wasn't the best today. Lots of montages of game footage with no names put to them and long-winded talking sections, and nothing we didn't know about yet, apart from Final Fantasy 14 (before 13 is even released), which is another online game, like 11...
Impressive press conference from Nintendo. As well as the usual stuff about expanded audiences, we got to see no less than two new Mario games for the Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 2 - and a new Metroid being developed by Team Ninja, the guys behind Ninja Gaiden.
Looks like Microsoft have pre-emptively "won" E3. Perhaps they didn't display the best games, but the technology on display here was on the level of Sci-Fi movies. You gotta be impressed.
The chick is seeing a reflection of herself in the water, and manipulating it with her hands.
In other news, new author Welly Wanger is now free, out of college, so you can also look forward to some articles he has been planning, which sound very promising indeed.
